Looks Like a Losing Streak

For 2 consecutive games, the Cards have been unable to find the answer for the Phillies. On Monday, we had no offense whatsoever. And now on Tuesday, when the bats manage to drive in 7 runs, the pitching gives up 10.

Wainwright just didn't have it on Tuesday as the Phillies completed the short 2 game sweep. Pujols, Ludwick and Molina all went deep in the game, but it just wasn't enough.

The Cards start another short 2 game series against the Pirates tomorrow. Hopefully the Cards can use this series to get back on track. Mitchell Boggs is starting on Wednesday and Wellemeyer on Thursday. Remember that May is Wellemeyer's month.

Not only were the Cards the best team in the majors throuh April, but 2 Redbirds were recognized individually:
  • Pujols was the NL Player of the Month
  • Barden was the NL Rookie of the Month
Ok, Cards. Lets get started again. Quick 2 game sweep over the Bucs.

  1. Please tell me some Cardinals fans had flashbacks in the 9th inning last night…

Check out our take on it: http://rememberthesonics.wordpress.com/2009/05/05/now-playing-the-brad-lidge-albert-pujols-reunion-tour/
