Sweep Number 3? ... Game 19

Harden (1-1, 4.20) vs. Wellemeyer (1-1, 5.29)

What can be said about Pujols? He is the most complete player in the game today. Possibly in history. Sure there are a lot of guys who can put up gaudier offensive numbers (without the help of steroids is another issue). But Pujols not only gives you great, consistent run production; he also gives you defense, speed, leadership, as well as so many other things that can't be quantified by numbers.

That grand slam yeasterday... I knew it was coming. How can you nibble around the plate to Colby Rasmus and then throw one right down the middle to Pujols? Incredible. You've got a lot to learn David Patton. Maybe you would've gotten Pujols to miss if you do Dempster's little glove flip stupid thing. Work with him on it.

Not much to say about the game today - don't wanna jinx anything. Let's just get our third sweep. Although Wellemeyer starting isn't the most reassuring feeling in the world.

Lineup:
1) Schumaker, 2B
2) Rasmus, LF
3) Pujols, 1B
4) Ludwick, RF
5) Ankiel, CF
6) Molina, C
7) Greene, SS
8) Thurston, 3B
9) Wellemeyer, P
