The Cards stole one from the Cubs last night. Well, to be more specific, Pujols stole it. I don't know where Albert has discovered this new found speed but he stole his third base (in the last 3 games), and he couldn't have done it in a more clutch spot.
Bottom of the eighth, tie game 3-3. Pujols singles, swipes second and Ludwick singles him in. Cards win 4-3.
It was kind of weird. I was actually semi-comfortable with Franklin coming in to pitch the ninth. I got a little worried after the walk to Bradley who's not playing 100% and is batting like .043 or something ridiculously low like that. But he settled down to get Theriot.
Anyway, we are a little more than 10% done with this season. I couldn't dream of a better start. Great job boys, lets get out there and take another from those annoying Cubbies. Another FOX game of the week. We have been game of the week every week this season thus far.
Boggs says he isn't worried about the pressure of pitching on national tv. Let's hope not.
