Now That's What I'm Talkin' Bout ... Game 3

Duke (0-0, 0.00) vs. Wellemeyer (0-0, 0.00)

Last night was everything I had anticipated from game one but never saw. The Birds took care of the Bucs 9-3.

The Cards had great starting pitching with Lohse going 7 innings and allowing only 2 earned runs. The bullpen stepped in and closed out the game strong too. Dennys pitched through a 1-2-3 8th inning like his food was getting cold in the clubhouse, and Brad Thompson finished the game with a perfect inning of his own.

It was a great offensive night as well. Colby Rasmus collected 2 hits and a walk in his debut. Pujols, Greene, Molina and Thurston each had 2 hits as well. Molina, Pujols and Duncan each went deep. And the Cardinals were able to work the counts as they drew 8 walks as a team.

Against another lefty today, I hope it turns out better than our first game. Lets score some runs and have Wellemeyer shut em down. I would give match up stats on how the Pirates fare against Wellemeyer, but even after 2 games I still don't know any of their names...

Long John Silver?...No, that can't be it...
Blackbeard?...No, that's not it either...
Johnny Depp?...I give up. Those are the only pirates I know.

Lineup:
1) Rasmus, LF
2) Greene, SS
3) Pujols, 1B
4) Ludwick, RF
5) Molina, C
6) Ankiel, CF
7) Freese, 3B
8) Wellemeyer, P
9) Ryan, 2B

Go Crazy.
